The G20 of the 19 largest national economies and the European Union meet in Argentina to further development, sustainability, fairness, equality.

Description: Heads of state and finance and economy ministers from the nineteen largest econonmies and the European Union are gathering in Buenos Aires for the most important meeting of the year for the G20. This year’s focus of their responsibilities for world economic leadership is on futhering ‘fair and sustainable development’ in every region. And the stated priorities for the Summit are as follows:

  • improving and ensuring the future of work,
  • providing infrastructure for development,
  • promoting and providing a sustainable food future, and
  • ensuring gender equality.

The Summit will be personally hosted by Mauricio Macri, President of Argentina, who will open proceedings for the weekend by presenting “a people-centred agenda with a vision of the future.”
